I could almost kiss Governor Bob Taft on the lips for allowing us high-ABV beers in Ohio (even though it was dumb we didn''t have them in the first place). This immediately became one of my favorite beers, being the Stout lover I am. Wonderful warming chocolate flavor with an alcohol presence that is not overpowering. Absolutely perfect pour with lacing that lasted to the bottom of the glass. I will be keeping this one in stock at all times.

Nice copper colour with rich head. Big grapefruity cascade hop aroma. Immediate bitter hop punch, well matched by a firm clean, and somewhat fruity maltiness. Very bitter finish. A prototypical American pale ale.

A little on the bland side, but nothing offensive about it. Mild hop flavor and nice crispness but not much else. Passable.

I guess with a name like Acme you would expect something kind of generic. I tasted some malt, nuts and brown sugar but it was very light. I actually like Newcastle better.
