Pours a thick muddy dark brown with some pretty good solid foam. Nice strong whisky aroma, slightly metallic, maltiness in the background that ends up cloying. Taste is whisky and peatiness backed by some earthy malts. Peat and whisky working well but ends a little thin and slightly muddled. Not bad, but could be so much more.

Very nice bleach white foam on a stormily carbonated medium clear gold body. The aroma has heavy notes of yeast and banana, not very bright though. Taste is more banana, plenty of yeastiness, soft grain funk. A little cloying aftertaste though. A mixed bag.

Clear gold with a nice white head. Light funk, touch of citrus and beady. Dirty and funky with a bready note, touch of pepper. Not really my thing.

355mL can, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Nose is harsh, with peated whiskey, gasoline, perfume and some toasted malt. Flavour has some nice peat, but everything else is harsh: there's perfume, gasoline, and some campfire. It's not terribleβthe peat is pleasant but it's a pretty harsh beer overall. Needs a lot of refining.

Corked bottle, 2 years old (on top of the 36 months of barrel aging)
Clean dark amber colour. Smell of vinegar and light fruit. Mouth puckering, bone dry, highly acidic, with a hint of fruit Maybe redeveloped in the bottle, but it didn't show extra carbonation. Too aggressive and unbalanced .

Small foam on a modest yellowy orange body. Sweet shizo leaf on the nose, smells like fruity something to me, the label says the leaf so I'll go with that. Flavour is bright yeasty grain with a fruity kick, slight peppery saison notes. Mellow finish, a little overcarbonated. Definitely potential here, on the floral end of things.

500mL bottle, pours a cloudy dull golden with a small white head. Aroma is very estery, with some herbal notes, and light citrus. Flavour is very estery and quite sweet, with light yuzu, lots of esters and plenty of residual sweetness. Too sweet and estery, but the yuzu adds a nice element. It's alright.
