Description
Since 1955, Le Brun Bigoud cider house is renowned for its premium craft ciders. Based in Cornouaille (the first AOP cider area), we create artisan and farm ciders following the traditional way passed down from one generation to the next.

Our traditional corked ciders are all 100% pur juice, naturally sparkling and unpasteurized to preserve the fruity flavors.

Our apple expertise led us to develop apple juices. Still or sparkling our recipes are also 100% pur juice but to preserve the product longer those are pasteurised.

In 2021, Mr Le Brun set a new challenge for the company, developping a range of craft beers (Cornemuse and La Môme de Paris) that would match our passion for great beverages.

Sweet and meally apples, hay and moss. Fruity, nutty woody and funky. Notes of citrus, dried tropical fruits and ginger come to mind. Sweet and moderate bitter. Medium body and quite strong carbonation. Finishes with a raw and very dry mouthfeel. Lovely.

Bottle shared at home. Clear deep golden to light amber. Sweet fresh apples, tart apples, definitely a nice farmyard touch to it with light funk, dry apple peel, medium earthy, old wood. Medium sweet, light bitter and very light tart. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation, almost medium dry finish. Quite dry for a doux, good ‘fermier’ character too for the price.

375ml wire corked bottle from Pilango online. Golden colour with some floaty bits that quickly settle, short-lived white bubbly head and aroma of horseblanket & funky tart apple. Taste is tart apple, with woody barnyard funk, oak barrel and vanilla notes, plus some tannin. Medium bodied, fine spritzy carbonation, dry funky oaky tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle shared at home, bought at E Leclerc. Clear dark deep golden with very short lasting white head. Sweet apple juice, moss, green leaves, hay, light funk and earthy notes. There’s a nice juice presence, but also a medium farmhouse character. Over light sweet and very light bitter and sour. Almost medium bodied and barely medium dry. Pretty good for a supermarket cider!
