Description
Since 1955, Le Brun Bigoud cider house is renowned for its premium craft ciders. Based in Cornouaille (the first AOP cider area), we create artisan and farm ciders following the traditional way passed down from one generation to the next.

Our traditional corked ciders are all 100% pur juice, naturally sparkling and unpasteurized to preserve the fruity flavors.

Our apple expertise led us to develop apple juices. Still or sparkling our recipes are also 100% pur juice but to preserve the product longer those are pasteurised.

In 2021, Mr Le Brun set a new challenge for the company, developping a range of craft beers (Cornemuse and La Môme de Paris) that would match our passion for great beverages.

Bottle split at RB Best Hotel Lobby Share, post festival, 31/01/16. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is funky apple, white grape, straw, light wood, pear drop. Taste apple orchard, tannins, lightly smoked straw, faint peach, sweet and tangy apple pulp. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent cidre.

Bottle picked up at Fountainhall Wines, Aberdeen. It pours clear pale gold with a quickly disipaiting white head. The aroma is earthy, soft funk, tannin, sweet apple pie & custard and pear. The taste is crisp, clean, firmly dry, sweet red apple, some apple pie, grape skin, touch of acidity, light funk and tannins with a drying finish. Light - medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Quite subtle in ways, but also rather interesting. Quaffable.

$8 bottle from Cost Plus World Market. Poured into a wide mouth pint glass. Fizzy, champagne pour. Dark, slightly hazy, golden honey liqueur. Smell is a rich, honey and lemon concoction, offset with a little bit of farm essence. Browned, sweet apple flesh & toasty yeast. Taste is similar. Browned apple flesh, subtle tartness, lightly tannic peel. Pear and honey notes come through big-time. Creamy yeast and a juicy body follow through till the end. Tasty.
