On tap at Capone’s. 2015 vintage. Garnet colored pour. Small creamy cap. Earthy, tart aroma. Flavor is tart, dried dark fruit. Plum, sour cherry, stewed prunes. Soft and supple. Complex, yet extremely approachable. Yum!

Can best before 3/6/23, drunk 2/12/23. Bright copper-golden. Good clarity, firm, off-white head. Promising nose of rich, honey-like pale malts and herbal hops. Clean. Bright and even quite floral. Light yellow stone fruits in the background. Flavor is different than nose suggests. Some strong pepper, moderate bitterness and a nuttier, honey-meets-caramel malt flavor. Love the texture. It's, perhaps, not as light lager-like, but who says this is a light lager. Rustic grain contributing great, chewy texture. Light bread, more herb, floral and peppery hops. Lovely balance, clean. Well-attenuated throughout despite the extra maltiness.

Bottle, probably circa 2010. Clear gold. Large, white head, good retention. Kind of a muted brett nose, lightly spicy at best, more Sacch-like at worst with bread, white pepper, peach and such and tangy, lightly rubbery Brett. This is about as far a cry from the original Pizza Port batch as it gets.... Sadly it fares no better in mouth. Somewhat oddly thick, chewy texture with honey, light sourdough/other various bread. Heavy white pepper, dry nectarine, some weird rubber and random sharpness at points. Sad attempt at recreating the legend.

(Bottle, thanks to Håkan) Black colour with no head. Malty, roasted, vinous nose with notes of espresso, dark chocolate, cacao, treacle and a touch of fresh asphalt. Malty, roasted taste with espresso, dark chocolate, cacao, oak wood, vanilla, liquorice, dried fruit, prunes, raisins, a touch of tamarind and a sweetish, vinous finish with a generous cacao bitterness. Full body, quite sweet. Really powerful and tasty, with lots of coffee, chocolate and oak. Still in good balance. Lovely beer!
Nice fresh sourness, not Sharp at all, nice blend, thanks Erwin N. Lovely blend..

dark brown color. Lots of brown sugar, a touch of bourbon, boozy but relatively balanced just a bit simple. Ok.
