Bottle at home. Pours deep copper with thick, everlasting head. Nose is some malts, moderate bitterness, faint metallic touch and a huge yeasty kick, the classic Belgian character. Its taste is that of a bitter strong belgian ale's (no shit, eh?), but the bitterness is not that of a pronounced hop character, but more of an unpronounced, somewhat harsh one. Closes with medium bitter finish, has lively carbonation (perhaps too lively) and light to medium body. Although I like Belgian IPAs, this somehow is more like a Belgian strong with more-than-usual bitterness.

On tap at Hops, Crewe. Pours a dark burgundy with minimal off-white head. There’s a delightful aroma of alcohol, wooden barrels, dired fruit and figs. In the mouth it is slightly sweet with a chewy texture. The alcoholic strength is immediately obvious in the flavour which also contains raisins, orange peel and dates, with hints of cherries and blackcurrants coming through later leading to a decidedly boozy finish. This is excellent !

Smells of artificial bananas, like banana popsicles. A weird bud light yellow/ clear pour, with no head. There isnt much to say, it tastes of fake banana candies.
