Bottle @ Telfords. Unclear golden body under a moderate sized, lacing white head. Aroma is malty, slightly herbal with wood, vanilla and quite distinct Bourbon. Taste goes in the same direction, quite sweet, a bit alcoholic, strong on wood, vanilla and perfumed Bourbon. Hint of toffee and well-integrated alcohol. Balanced body and pleasant aftertaste. Decent.

First of all, the smell is delicious. Delirium Tremens is a feast before you’ve taken your first sip. The aroma is quite yeasty, fruity. In fact, there’s a whole garden’s worth of fruit and spices in this one. It’s a puzzle to identify all the distinct aromas, which is what makes Delerium Tremens such a fascinating beer. Slightly sourish.

Aroma of malts, grass, citrus, Huyghe yeast, soap, some spices and hops. Flavour is yeasty, fruity, malty sweetness. A bit watery and metallic. Alchohol is hidden fairly well. I’m a fan of the Delirium beers, but I was not that impressed with this one.

Aroma of sweet malt, chocolate, yeast, sugar, red fruits, spices. Flavour is fruity and spicy, sugary sweetness. Body and mouthfeel are quite nice. A shame about the sweetness, but otherwise a nice brew.
