(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Drink Baar, 20260530) The beer poured dark brown and hazy. Its head was large, off-white and lasted long. Aroma had toasted malts, candi sugar, spicy yeast and earth. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were toasted malts, candi sugar, grass, spicy yeast and bitterness. Aftertaste had toasted malts, spicy yeast and bitterness. A rather thin brew with good potential.

Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours orange tinged gold with a slight and very transient white head. Peach wafts from the pour. Arguably medium body or maybe more. Sort of juicy but just a little sweet. Something seems bitter - prickles like passion fruit. Nice flavor.

Big half liter pounder can from chalet for 3$. Pour is very nice, brown maroon with red tinge and a big foamy light pink head that never fades. Nose is fun and appetizing mild sour cherry. Looking forward to this session. First taste is mildly tart cherry. Then there is a little bit of that cherry cough medicine effect. Even so, this is pretty good. I've tasted nocturnum, delirium and noel and this stuff is much better than all 3 of those. Except for that mild cherry cough drop taste, this stuff really hides its alky content very well. In the middle, I didn't notice it, because of the decent taste, aroma and look; but there really isn't much carbonation in here, tho its enough for support of the overall friendliness of the brew. Quite happy with this purchase and tasting stint. Near the end, that head is still there! Even after 20 mins of sipping. Very rare for a beer these days. Pretty good overall experience!

Bottle from Appellation Wines.
Appearance - pale yellow and clear with gentle carbonation. Thin white head.
Nose - loads of foam banana sweets and basically confectionery.
Taste - sickly sweet banana and residual sugar.
Palate - light bodied and sickly sweet.
Overall - no, no, no, this is an abomination!

On tap at Hops, Crewe. Pours golden amber with minimal almost white head. Alcoholic strength is the mainstay of the aroma alongside Belgian yeast and hints of pineapple. In the mouth it is briefly sweet and juicy before some sharpness comes through. Alcohol to the fore in the flavours along with oak barrels and vanilla. Later on there are hints of malts, peel and lucozade as well leading to a slightly dry finish. Although this is decent enough it is still rather disappointing – the barrel aging doesn’t seem to have left much mark !

Deep brick red with a medium size tan head. Big red berry, fresh fruits, caramelized sugars, chocolate, light yeast spice, malt, a hint of black pepper. Medium bodied. Finishes sweet with some light spice. Respectable.
