Fairly clear golden and copper coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of very rich hops with a lot of alcohol and grain with some metallic notes and a lot of bitterness from the alpha acids in the hops noticeable. Medium-bodied; Very strong malty and astringent metal noticeable with a dry grainy flavour showing some light sweetness, but mainly a biscuity, yeastie and very strong alcohol bite towards the end. Aftertste shows a lot of grain and bitterness with the hops and alcohol the strongest, but the malts and grain somehow show a ton of flavour and make this seem even stronger than 9,2 per cent and not even really an Imperial IPA. Overall, this is obviously categorised wrong from the initial entry, this is purely an 'Imperial IPA', and even that it isn't such a great beer - it's too strong and deep. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Brown Jug in Fairbanks, Alaska on 25-June-2021 for US$2,29 sampled after hiking up Mount Healy with my wife and three kids on 26-June-2021 in Denali, Alaska for a celebration.
