0.5l bottle. This is a clear deep ruby one with a nice medium sized, lacing light beige top. On the aroma is's light caramel sweet and watery with some soft sour red berries, thin fennel and malts. Not much more to be honest. It's average on the carbonation - big mineral watery bubbles, medium-bodied with a soft oily mouthfeel. The flavor has a more spiced touch. Licorice and caramel with hard-to-describe spices. Light buttery also before it's leaving traces of bitter nuts and hints of red lingonberries. Ends with a slight alco warming note down the throat and thin chocolate paper in the aftertaste. Have to admit I was hoping for a bit more, but nice enough. 08.11.2012

0.5l bottle. This is a deep impossible-to-see-through brown one with a gigantic and really lasting ashy head. The aroma is filled with chocolate, smoke, thin leather and it has a certain sweet roastiness as well. Quite interesting. It's what you could call average on the carbonation level and it has a good oily mouthfeel. Smoky with chocolate is the first thing that hits the old taste buds. Some nice bitterness with a slight floral touch. Yeah, the chocolate, chocolate paper and the smoke is the most present in this one. It's actually surprisingly enjoyable this. At least in comparison to the other beers I've had so far from this brewer. Tasty, and something I easily could recommend for my friends. This actually makes me want to open an Imperial Brown Ale.. Think I will purchase one more of this. 16.11.2012

0.5l bottle. This one pours a oily-black body in the glass and it has a really good looking chocolaty-mocha top that sticks around for quite some time. Strong chocolate and a lovely roasty nose with traces of dark syrup, ashy-sweetness and some slightly acidic dark berries. Really nice stuff. Strong roasted - and quite burned flavors with black-burned toast, some coffee and traces of dark bitter chocolate. It's light oily and quite light in the mouth with a below average carbonation level. Malty roasted and there is also traces of some bitterness and fruity hops blended in between all those burned flavors. Wish it has a bit more mouthfeel, but it's definitely a flavorful little thing. 28.11.2012

Big white head. Faintly hazy deep amber body. Spicy earthy lemongrass aroma with perfumy malty notes. Dry-sweet earthy papery lemongrass taste with mealy caramelly notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish mealy perfumy lemongrass aftertaste with spicy strawy notes. Niceish, but a bit perfumy artificial. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, web order.)

Big white lasting head. Hazy opaque amber body. Fruity peppery honey aroma with mealy oily tobacco notes. Dry-sweet spicy honey taste with lavender notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish herbal spicy honey aftertaste with mealy wheaty notes. Nice, drinkable, but perhaps a bit weak and lacking in flavour. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, web order.)

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Anis notes. Moderate bitter slightly spicey (cinnamon and anis) flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Nice christmas beer.

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Storo. Pours slightly hazy deep orange to amber with an off-white head. Lightly fruity aroma with pine, citrus and malt. Some basement aromas. Sweet and malty with fruits and pine and a light bitterness in the finish. (2012-11-24)

Bottle shared with ClubGonzo. Pours a hazy deep dark brown colour with a big bumpy beige head. A fantastic aroma of smoked bacon, sour coffee, roasted malt, licorice, chocolate truffles and tones of lactose. More roast and smoke in a bit sweet flavour with a distinct touch of coffee. Nice. The mouthfeel is soft and creamy, and has a light bitterness. A wonderful and balanced smoked beer.

Bottle shared with ClubGonzo. Has a dark hazy amber colour, pretty murky, and a medium light beige head. A special aroma of sweet flowers (the elderflower?), and is else fruity with lots of malt, along with sweet berries and spices. Feels fresh. In the flavour I sence again the nice mix of flowers and fruit with a touch of cardboard, forest and ripe gooseberries. The mouthfeel is creamy and rich, and has a very light bitterness. An interesting and easy-drinking beer.
