Bottled. A red-amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of caramel, bread, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, christmas spices, bread, and caramel, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

50 cl bottle. Pours cloudy and golden orange with a small tan head. Aroma is toasted malty and caramelish, light spiced. Sweet, toasted malty, caramelish and toasted. Caramelish and biscuit finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an almost clear amber with an off-white head. Sweet spicy nose, a little buttery perhaps too. Medium body, sweet caramellish, spicy. No real bitterness. Gets a little cloying. 131212

I runde 3 i den store juleøltesten ombord på Fridtjofen: Krydret smak men med en ubehagelig aroma av sellerirot. Ble alllikevle nr. en av to i denne runden. Flaske (2014-utgaven), delt med Willy på brygga feb-15: lett uklar mahogny med eksemplarisk skum som varer helt til bunns. Nydelig krydderaroma med karamell og mørke bær, og det samme gjør seg gjeldende i den deilig avrundede smaken. Saftig ettersmak. Et kvantesprang opp fra 2.5 til 3.7

Tap @ C4, Odense. Pours clear amber with a small White head. Butter, berries and Star anise. Medium bodied. Bitter finish.

0.5l bottle. I worked with a guy caller Urban once, but no time to dwell about that: This is a light blurry nutty-bronze one with a medium sized light bubbly off-white top. On the nose I get some traces of broccoli, earth, urine, pale malts, raw metal and some floral tones. Non extreme. The taste has some sweetness in it. Corn-like sweetness actually. It's thin oily to watery on the mouthfeel with a average carbonation level. More earthy, some buttery tones in the taste also, a soft bitterness appears in the finish and aftertaste next side with something floral and almost herbal. All in all this was in my opinion not much more than a dull lager added some herbal flowers. Not to memorable, and I don't feel the need to stock up with this one. 16.11.2012

0.5l bottle. Cloudy hazy in the glass with a orange-honey color and a nice big everlasting almost fluffy white top. The aroma is sweet with wheat, ripe almost brown banana, grinded cloves and some grainy straws. Not horrible, and somewhat inviting. It's average on the carbonation, but the mouthfeel is below average; watery and mouthdrying. Tons of cardboard in the flavor. Big disappointing. Buttery tones as well. Reminds me of Lade Gaard's "wheat"-beer - that can be described as sparkling mineral water gone warm and flat. Ends really mouthdrying and almost astringent. Bah, nice looks, nice aroma but this does not taste especially good. A shame, cause I was really in that I-want-a-weiz-mood. Guess I'll have to pop that Wheienstephaner I had saved for tomorrow then.. 16.11.2012

0.5l bottle. This is a cloudy dishwater-orange colored one with a medium sized really bubbly just off-white top. The nose is lovely fruity and hoppy. A bit tropical with pineapple, mango, passion fruits and pine. Likable. Quite tasty also! A strong dry bitterness with pine and tones of branches. It's average on the carbonation and light oily on the mouthfeel. Caramel-sweet as well. Kinda different, and actually quite pleasant. Some sweet honey-tones near the finish and it has a prickling little hint of alcohol in the aftertaste. 17.11.2012

0.5l bottle. This is a cloudy brown one - some rouge tones also, and it has a nice medium sized, lacing beige top. On the nose there is dark malts, some thin cold coffee and perhaps a swiff of chocolate. Quite low, but fair enough. It's quite average on the carbonation and it has a light oily mouthfeel. The taste is filled with chocolate and dark malts mainly. There is also perhaps a little woody coffee-acidity here, like it has been stored on white wine barrels containing coffee, and traces of something fruity. Gentle bitterness all the way. Easy drinking, and quite an alright brown ale. 17.11.2012
