Aroma is malty with some berry notes. Flavour has berries, some malty notes . Somewhat dry, hoppy and nutty finish. Quite unusual brown ale, too much berries.

Bottle. Huge creamy head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, smoky notes, caramel, nuts and hops.

Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet, Bestillingsutvalget. Drukket hjemme 10 Des 12. Gyldenbrun med et høyt luftig skum som varer lenge og fester seg til glasset. Veldig pent! Forsiktig søt fruktaroma. Julekaker? Veldig myk munnfølelse. Innholdsrik smak. Velbalansert og ikke påtrengende. Julekaker. Mandler. Litt tørr syrlighet etter hvert. Avslutter litt bittert. Godt øl! KI=6

Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet, Bestillingsutvalget. Drukket hjemme 9 Des 12. Lys gylden. Litt uklar. Brukbart tett skum som varer en stund og fester seg litt til glasset. God fruktig aroma. Minner om overmoden aprikos. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken i samme retning som smake. Blir etterhvert litt syrlig. Godt øl men litt uvariert.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear brownish amber colour with a medium off-white head. Aromas of anis, blackberries, camphor and some dried fruit. Lots of anis in the flavour as well with the addition of some alcohol, oak and leather. The mouthfeel is slick, and has a light bitterness. The beer feels a bit unbalanced with all the anis. In the end it�s an okay and interesting Christmas ale.

500ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Bestillingsutvalget. Off-white head, some of it remaining throughout. Dark orange coloured body with a slight haze. Moderately aroma of choco-caramel malts together with hints of spices and dried fruits. Mixed flavour of brittle caramel and sweet liquorice. Roasted bitterness towards the ending. Foamy in the mouth. Ok, average Yuletide beer (Tromsø, 26.12.2012).

On tap at Christian Firtal. Black with a lasting tan head. Aroma of licorice, chocolate and charcoal. Sweet chocolate and licorice flavour with a mild roasted note and a slightly bitter finish

Deep clear golden colour with a big frothy off white head. Good lacing. Fruity, citric and flowery hoppy aroma. Lots of bubbles in the glass. Seems like it is lively carbonated, but it has a creamy texture and a mild carbonation. Unusual fruity taste. Reminds me of norwegian christmas soda pop. Citric and fruity flavour. Very mild considering 6,5%. After a while it seems like some spices are coming through, reminding me of christmas. Maybee I am in a christmas mood. But I have not eaten any spicy thing before drinking this one. Medium body and a mild sweetness. Unusual moderate bitterness for an IPA. Fresh summer IPA :-)
