Description
Flying Couch Brewing was founded in 2011 as a gipsy brewery and has since 2015 changed to a physical self-owned brewery located in the northwestern part of Copenhagen.

The beer is mainly found in the Copenhagen area but is also distributed by Det Belgiske Hus to the rest of Denmark.

Export occurs occasionally and includes Spain, Sweden (Elixir & Wine), Norway, Finland, Austria, the UK, The Netherlands and more.

Copenhagen Beer Festival, 2012. Pours cloudy golden with a small creamy head. Sweet esters and yeast with quite a bit of alcohol. Medium bodied. Sweet.

Copenhagen Beer Festival, 2012. Pours dark unclear brown with a frothy head. A bit yeasty and sweet caramel. Spices. Medium bodied.

Copenhagen Beer Festival, 2012. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Sweet nose. Lots of caramel and peach. Yeasty and phenolic flavor with a rough bitterness. Disappointment.

Draught at Ørsted, Copenhagen
Hazy dark amber color with red hue; creamy head. Some nice fuity and resiny hop in the aroma, first, followed by caramel. Strong caramel flavor and strong resiny hopping, with a touch of more roasted malts; very strong bitterness; full bodied and smooth.
Good; maybe the ashy trace in the final could be avoided.

Sample on tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Dark reddish brown colour, hazy, off-white to beige head. Hoppy aroma and flavour, fruity and resinous American hops, sweet (? - can’t read my own handwrting!) notes in the background.

From tap. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and crisp hoppy. Smooth fruity and toasted malt to caramelish. Bitter and toasted caramelish to light toasted malty. Bitter and caramelish finish.

From tap. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma  is crisp grapefruity and citrusy. Bitter and solid hoppy. Bitter and dry hoppy finish. Bitter and dry into the finish.

Draft. Dark clear maroon color, thick brown nitro head, solid lacing. Aroma of cocoa powder, caramel, black pepper. Taste is watery roasted coffee and caramel. OK.

Sample from tap, CBF 2012. Slightly hazy, copper colour with a white head. Fruity aroma with mango, hay and floral hop notes. Taste is bitter. Medium body with a slick texture. Long lasting bitter finish with fruity notes. Nice IPA.

Draught, 5.8%. Good grassy hop aroma. Cloudy dark red brown colour. Small tan head. Good grassy hop flavour. Very clean bitterness. Good, flavourful and well-balanced.
