++Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. ++ Clear pale amber. careful grassy grainy nose. Medium dry with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Well balanced grassy hop levels, the grainy malt could’ve been a bit softer. Medium bitterness. Refreshing.

++Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. ++ Very black, beige head. Aroma of café au lait and rhum. Full bodied with creamy edgeless mouthfeel. Lots of licrice, but the roastiness is well balanced. It never becomes sharp. Chocolatey finish with a sligt warming tingle.

++Bottled at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen (2006 vintage).++ Dark brown. Vinous and caramelly. Feels tart at first, than massive sweetness sets in. Full bodied with dough and saccharine, wood and cherry. Lots of salty bitterness. The barrel aged version really lifted this beer one step further than the non barrel version.here the sweetness becomes a bit much, so a bit of the huge potential in the beer does not come out.

++Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. ++ Clear orange colour. Bready nose. Dryish and lightly grassy. Light-medium bodied with rather clean mouthfeel. Bready and lightly salty with a growing carrot flavour. Salty bitterness. Not as out there as their asparagus beer and with less inviting malt character. A worthwile experiment, but nothing I’d necessary need to have again.

++Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. ++ Cloudy golden. The strangest aroma I’ve had in a good while. What first seems to be just Carlsbergy boiled vegetables grows into green asparagus. It’s medium bodied with a bit of grass, the green asaparagus flavour is quite strong and dominates the beer. It also gives some sort of herbal bitterness. A fascinating beer, daring and unusual. Not for everyone I guess, but I found myself quite liking it.

++Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. ++ Hazy nut brown. Vinous and oaky nose, but thin kmore red wine than bourbon and vanilla. Sweetm dense and fruity with intense berryish peppery flavour. Despite its sweetness it feels well balanced with its rich body and amazing flavour depth. Long salty bitterness. A top effort.

From tap. Pours pitch black with a huge chocolate brown head. Smooth chocolate aroma with a mild rum presence. Light vanilla accent too. Hard roasted malty and towards coffeeish bitter. Very mild finish with a lingering roasted malt and chocolate finish yet with a smooth rum presence.
