Draught, 6.0% at EBF08. Cloudy dark red brown colour. The flavour has a bit of malt, hint of alcohol. Not too exciting.

Thick-set yellow head over fully hazy red-amber beer, textbook lace. Very grainy nose, malts, coloured malts and some grass, point of acidity. Bready, lightly smoked, higher sugars, unrefermentables peeping through at every sip. Well-bodied, slick, creamy texture, velvety. Very nice beer and even more so as it proves even biological beers can be tasteful. Now the same for the veggies...

Draught Absolutely towering fine & dense yellow head over fully hazy orange-green beer. Amazing, just wonderful, crazy combination of the hops and the asparagus, a marriage made in heaven. Absolutely complementary, perfect fit. Again this wonderful combination in the sweet, vegetable and sourish flavours. Superb balance. Creamy, light body. Excellent, great! And that praise coming from a Belgian that only likes his asperges only in the soup... If the guy that dreamt this up, had an inkling on forehand, he ought to go for a visionary career.

Draught Bright-red amber, head fast gone. Liquorice, leafy, bit of ureum. Wry, earthy & leafy; not too much restsugars, just enough for balance. Slick, well-bodied. Good, if unspectacular interpretation of Bock.

Cask at EBF Copenhagen 2008 ... Orange ... very light hop nose with only the barrest trace of carrot in nose, you really had to hunt for it, but it was there if ever so light... light gentle hop ... low carbonation with an medium body... again carrot can be detected if swirled and allow the flavour to build. Carrot or no, this was a pleasant beer.

Cask at EBF Copenhagen 2008 ... And the start of the show for both being very drinkable and the most unusual beer of the weekend... Hazy blond ... my the nose is sunning with asparagus with just a light happiness in its background to balance... On tasting, once again the taste buds are assaulted by just how asparagus this is ... and how this is there both in the front and in the linger... its balanced by a little sweet caramel and again just a light hoppiness. +4 overall for an unusual delightful experience, and one id like to try again.
