50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Wheaty, coriander into a minor bubblegum and citrus fruity aroma, dry. Heavy banana and bubblegum flavour, sweet to dry, wheaty. Sweet to dry wheaty and minor bitterness in the finish. I guess the added birch wood, juice and leaves provide a lot to this different aroma and flavour. Different and interesting.

(Bottle) Very dark brown, almost black, with ruby notes when seen through light. Frothy, beige head. Roasted nose with distinct notes of coffee and hints of liquorice and roasted oat flakes. Roasted taste with notes of chocolate, liquorice and distinct notes of dark bitter coffee in the finish. Slightly bitter-sweet, vinous notes tend to take away some of the balance. Medium to full body, solid malt background. Tasty and rather complex, but wouldn’t suffer from better balance among all the grains and hops. Actually reminds me of a dark bock with the roasted malts of a porter.

Slightly cloudy yellow with a disappearing white head. Aroma has clove, bubblegum, a hint of banana, and spicy, herbal notes from the birch. Sweet and spicy flavour. I guess the yeast profile is more blonde than wit to me.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, dark amber with a dense, beige head. Slightly nutty aroma with a whiff of burned caramel. Quite full-bodied with a solid malt base. Notes of nuts and fruit - a touch of citrus actually - and a somewhat dominating alcohol. The finish is a little raw and unrefined. 240707

Unclear amber with a big bubbly off-white head. Malt aroma with some fresh citrus notes that are close to perfume-y. Dry and hoppy and well suited for summer, with only a hint of bready munich malt in the aftertaste.
