Bottled. A slightly hazy amber beer with a huge bubbly beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of dusty hops, citrus, and elderberry flowers. The flavor is sweet combined with an acidic edge and notes of berries, dusty hops, herbs, and lemon, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle: Hazy, amber coloured, quite stable creamy off-white head, sweet-dark-malt in the mineralic and metallic nose; robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; spicy, a bit musty, cellary finish with some alcoholic fruitiness in the aftertaste. No great pleasure............

2007 version Good, very dense light-beige head, fast reduced to a rim above the deep brown opaque beer. Glue, solvent, sweet malts & chocolate: sharper notes upon something that could have well originated in the Ardennes. Spices and pineneedles, but blending in. Sweet-bitterish/spicy. Again very Walloon. Spices are present again, but I find it difficult to name them, which is a good thing (for the beer). Yeasty esters. Warming up, especially liquorice, restrained coriander, and dill (rather than anise) come up, chocolate-like sweetness remaining. Medium to well-bodied, alcohol peeping through. Way better than the first version (which I had infected, anyway). This might be the Danish Fantôme, maybe?
