Bottle. Dark golden, hazy beer with white head. Lots of citrus-aromas. Fizzy mouthfeel with lots of fruity sweet and citric tastes. Finishes with lots of aromahops. Rating: 8-3-8-4-16-3.9. 050923
Bottle. It’s a hazy, orangey golden beer with a big, white head. Some lacings too. Peachy nose with a touch of green pine cones ans some maltyness. Quite thin on the palate, medium bodied at least. Nice carbonation. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, both initially and in the end. Pale malts and flavors of green pine cones and some peaches. A nice beer indeed, but definitely not deserving my earlier 3.9 rating. Wouldn’t mind having this accessible at my local. 110406

(Bottle 50 cl) Vintage 2005 at 4,0% ABV. Orangey golden and slightly cloudy, gets darker and completely unclear when you pour the sediment. Handsome, creamy head. Lovely, floral, hoppy nose. Rather light body. Very soft malty feel with some citrusy notes. The aroma hops - First Gold - seem to grow hoppier the further you dig into this. Very British and close to style. 240805

(Bottle 50 cl) Very dark amber, very unclear - almost impure - almost without any head. Rather low carbonation. Malty nose. Sweetish, solid body with notes of honey firmly balanced by the hops. Lots of fruity notes. Appears fuller than what you would believe from the alcohol. 030605

(Bottle 50 cl) Vintage 2004 at 5,8% ABV. Beautiful amber coloured beer with a decent head and a slight cloudiness. Very floral, hoppy nose and the hops also deliver a solid dose of bitterness. Some faint smoked notes. Fresh and a good choice for a summer beer. 060704

(On tap) Dark orangey golden with an impressively huge head that refuses to flatten. Weird, tart nose. Distinct flavour of the added elderflower with some underlying sweetness. This is a festival special, a blend of two experimental brews (trying out new yeast strains) - a Pilsener and a Hefe. 210505
CloakedDagger (37227) reviewed Forårs Bryg from Herslev Bryghus 20 years ago

(Bottle 50 cl) Deep, dark amber colour with an impressive but collapsing head. Very full-bodied - but far from alcoholic -Easter beer with a distinct hopping. A bit raw and unpolished character, lacks a bit refinement. 110405
CloakedDagger (37227) reviewed Schwarzbier from Herslev Bryghus 20 years ago
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5
(Bottle 50 cl) Almost pitch black with a huge and rather stable head. Soft and very light-bodied, dry with only a discreet bitterness. This has a resemblance to the brewery’s "Stjerne Bryg". Some of the same malts and hops, I believe. An atypical Schwarzbier compared to the German standard. This is much smoother and less sharp. Apparently the first Danish commercial attempt at a Schwarzbier, and it came out rather nicely. 110305

Bottle 50 cl The Herslev Pilsner is a dark, amber coloured, unfiltered beer with a huge, lively and stable head. Distinct hoppy aroma and hoppy flavours on a very solid, malty base. Incredibly tasty for a pilsener with a lovely freshness. 091004
On tap. As "Herslev Magnum Pilsner" - a dryhopped version at the Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010.
On tap. Hazy golden with a dense white head leaving laces. Intensely fresh hop aroma - very grassy. Medium-bodied, very malty and somewhat biscuity with a distinctly bitter finish. 7/3/6/3/14= 3.3 080510
