0.5l bottle, beer no.2/12 courtesy of Papsoe (thanks!), shared with ozujsko Pours a dark brown / black colour, fizzy, huge thick tan head. The nose is quite faint, a bit odd, like.. "stale" caramel. The taste isn’t flashy either, Roasty, hints (nothing more than that) of caramel and malt. Watery, a touch of very weak sourness (hmm). A boring but by-the-book (I think) Schwartzbier.

A hazy dark orange beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is quite sweet and very fruity - especially peaches, but also with a citrusy hop note. The flavor is quite sweet malty with notes of fruits (oranges), spices (thyme), yeast, and some hops. The hops giving it a bitter dry end, which is taken over by a late note of the thyme. The mouthfeel is quite carbonated at first, and the alcohol is felt somewhat on the tongue and palate, but it vanishes quite fast, so the end seem watery. A bit more residual sugar should make up for this - and would be good on my palate.

A very dark brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of chocolate, combined with notes of roasted malt, caramel, and some fruits - like oranges. The flavor is sweet and quite roasted with strong notes of chocolate, rye bread, and some fruits, as well as a light coffee note, leading to a burnt bitter end. The alcohol gives a slight burn in the throat.

Biggish light brown head over opaque black body, dark brown at edges. Slightly acidic, soft milky burnt aroma with pine needle notes. Taste is strong pine needles and mint with acidic burnt oily aftertaste, with some ash. Didn’t really care for the acidity, but otherwise good. (0.5l bottle.)
