330ml can from Ludlow Brewery. Pours dark, good tan head. Noticeable chocolate milk nose. Has a really nice chocolate ice cream / milkshake feel about it, which is kind of surprising, and works at a colder temp too. Very enjoyable.

Keg pint after a 50 mile ride around Ludlow and Tenbury Wells area. Pours an unappealing murky, muddy golden brown colour, small white sheet atop. Fruity tropical hop nose. Taste is much lighter than expected given the appearance, which suggests a smoother palate. Fruity and hoppy enough, but light bodied and finishes quite dry. I get the feeling something unintentional has caused the muddy appearance, taste is a little disjointed. Perhaps subsequent brews will iron this out.

[December 2021] A beatuful looking golden ale, with a creamy white head and a slightly yeasty, light malt aroma. Really smooth mouthfeel, with light biscuit malt filling the flavour profile, some honey sweetness and a slight citrus bitterness towards the finish

Cask at The Red Lion, Pembridge, Herefordshire. Pours clear golden with a cream cap. Aroma: pale malts, light citrus, caramel, straw. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, semi dry, light pale malts with hints of citrussy hops on the finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. Hundreds of golden ales like this one which didn't stand out

330ml can (part of the Derailed arm of Ludlow Brewing Co): BBE Apr 2022. Obtained from Anthony's of Wellington, Shropshire. Drank at home on 11th Aug 2021. Clear golden body, decent white topping, looked good in my old Hoegaarden Grand Cry tulip glass. Hoppy/piney nose, hop bitter taste. Light citrus esters and flavours arrived as the beer warmed, the bitterness remained. The Idaho 7 hops are not from Idaho, but in fact from a local farm in Herefordshire!

Keg @ Ludlow Brewery after a ride at Mortimer Forest nearby searching out new trails. Misty gold appearance, small white head. Light tropical nose, taste seems mildly sweet, soft tropical hints, oily palate. Decent overall, but comes across a little like a hoppy golden ale rather than a crisp cutting pale ale / IPA.

A beautifully clear straw colour, with a bubbly white head, and a touch of sweet malt, hay and citrus on the nose. The mouthfeel is crisp and fresh, there’s an initial almost spicy hop bitterness with a sweetish bread flavour coming through, some floral notes with citrus and honey there too, before a dry and slightly bitter finish
