Description
Troy Casey began Casey Brewing and Blending in the fall of 2013 with the idea of creating a blendery (a facility that doesn’t have a brewery themselves, but still makes beer) in the Roaring Fork Valley, a place where he and his fiancé had recently decided to make their home. After searching for the perfect location for their barrel cellar, they found their current spot in South Glenwood right on the Roaring Fork River. Troy first began brewing sour and wild beer in 2009 and it quickly took over all of his brewing interest. This all culminated with the creation of Casey Brewing and Blending, a place where Troy will be able to create blends his way.

Sampled from the tap at Bottle Theory. Pours a slightly hazy earthy peach with a rose hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has tart apricot and a light vanilla with an oaky funk underlying. Flavor has a nice tart apricot with light acid and a vanilla backbone.

Bottle.
A- Yellow color, slightly hazy liquid, white head.
A- Apricot, tart, funk, bright.
F- Sour, tangy, apricot, mild funk.
T- Light body, prickly texture, high carbonation, sour finish.
O- My first Casey's beer. I was hoping for a more fruit forward beer but this was a sour bomb. Very sour and tangy. Almost warhead like but clearly well made. The apricot was there but I just wish that would have been more of the focus. Definitely a sour.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 15 Aug 2025) Yellow colour, slightly hazy, with brief frothy white head. Fruity, slightly funky nose with citrus, peaches and herbs. Fruity, slightly tart taste with notes of peaches, passionfruit, citrus, wood and funky yeast. Hardly any bitterness. More than medium body, dry. Tasty and refreshing with a good funky acidity. Very nice.

Beer shared by Sam: pours hazy peachy color with white head. Nectarine, minerally, funkiness. Taste is somewhat acidic, but softer than I expected from the nose. Pretty solid.
