Sample (thanks fonefan!). Deep rubyish copper colour with a small off-white beige head. Aroma is dried fruits, alcohol, some spiciness and mild toffee with a bit more alcohol. Flavour is dried fruits, some spiciness, a bit spicy wooden tones with some slight yeasty and alcohol tones.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a solid, brown head. Sweet and dusty roastiness with a vanilla touch. Rich, roasty body, quite some licorice and roast with perhaps a very faint note of the port wine. There's some dark, dried fruits in there suggesting some Belgian Stout character. But the finish is full blown roastiness. But a good stab at a heavy Xmas Stout, absolutely. 130223

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy, reddsih brown with a smallish, beige head. Distinct Xmas spice aroma: cinnamon, cloves, cardamom. Rich, sweet body, overripe dark fruits, plummy, estery - solid Dubbel base - and then the Xmas spices come rushing in and taking over. It's really a matter of whether you like Xmas spices in the beer, because this is perfectly executed considering what they wanted to achieve. 130223

Bottle from Det Lille Bryggeri @ Kollund. Pours pitch black with very small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, little coffee, chocolate, wood, whisky. Flavor is sweet, roast malt, caramel, wood, light nutty, oak, whisky, alcohol. Medium body, soft to average carbonation, sweet finish with loads of warming alcohol. Quite boozy. 110223

Flavor is sweet, light bitter, roast malty, slight tartness, wood, oak, licorice, port, alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, light sweet finish with warming alcohol, slight tartness. 110223

Flavor is light bitter, rich roasted malt, wood, oak, slightly tart, bourbon, some alcohol. Medium body, soft to average carbonation, light bitter finish with warming alcohol. 100223

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is spruce, some mild floral and herbal tones with a bit bready notes. Flavour is floral, grassy, mellowly bitter with some slight sweet bready and caramel notes. Nice lingering long grassy bitterness.
