Bottle from Some Good Beer. 7.8%, 80 case batch. Duvel tulip. Ever so slightly hazed orange gold brew. Quickly fading head. Rind-y, grassy, waxy nose. Dissipating sulfur. Tart, waxy, leafy, earthy apples. Just splash of sweetness. Good acid, not too much. Very faint barnyard & acetone. Yeasty, calcium, pithy finish. This plays like a good Pippin base mixed with something mellow. Works out.

Bottle from Some Good Beer near Washington Square Park. Duvel tulip. Clear, deep gold, almost copper brew. Constant activity. Smells of macerated apples wet leaves, musk, minty alcoholic fumes. Very thin, menthol, bitter core-y apples, twiggy, minerally, light acetone. Generous but spaced out bubbles. Woody, menthol, almost spiced finish. Okay.

Stem my wine glass @ As Is in Hell’s Kitchen. Cloudy orange gold body. Pricey pour. Only ever saw this in jeraboams. All of these homestead editions have way too much yeast. Unsettled kegs? The nose is just yeast, cream, & a touch of apple skin. Always muted. Thin, straw, yeast, bitter core, stone fruit, aerseol, dust, lime, mint. Forced carbonation. Too delicate to let stir up lees & serve. A cool expression of terroir, & am okay coder, but nothing great.

Vintage rate. Bottle at Proletariat. Faint, straw, dusty body. Smell is indifferent apples and tannic table grapes. Taste is half mellow apple cider, & half tart, acidic, tannic grape skins. Flabby cider, saved by good grape acidity. Solid blend, but confused about all the hype regarding this foraging cidery.

375mL bottle. Barely a pop. Low carbonation. Light musk, still some apple juice flavor. Not tart and or sour. Actually a bit disappointing. My expectations were high but this was a but of a flub. Will try again hoping its a one-off problem. That is, if I can find or afford it again.

Bottle at Himmeriget, Copenhagen. Poured a hazy light straw colour with a round bubbly white head. The aroma is light apple. The flavour is sweet with a dry mineral apple palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation.
