Bottled. A dark amber beer with an enourmous bubbly orange head due to a high level of carbonation. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of caramel, nuts, and yeast. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, nuts, yeast, metal, herbs, and some spices, leading to a dry slightly sour end. Braunstein can do much better than this.

Bottle. Almost golden-colored, with a nice, white head. Metallic aroma with apricot, orange and bitter fruityness. It is a bit strange, might be off? The flavor has a strange fruityness and a finish with metal and some bitterness. Strange beer. (070216)

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, reddish brown with a creamy, beige head. Aroma is clean, roasted and slightly sweet malt. Rather full and solid body with a warming alcohol. Clean, roasted malt flavours - and then nothing much more. The finish is all warming alcohol and a slight bitterness. A straight but unspectacular Bock. 310107

(sampled at the Düsseldorf RB gathering) Hazy, amber colour with a moderate off-white foamy head. Mild and slightly sweet grainy nose with light notes of caramel, a touch of cacao and a whiff of hops. Light sweet flavour, medium bodied, light on carbon. Soft malty with light notes of caramel and a subdued fruitiness; medium-dry, grainy malty finish. Pretty slim but not unharmonic. Okay.

(sampled at the Düsseldorf RB gathering) Clear, pale golden colour with a fluffy foamy white head. Sweet grainy aroma with herbal, slightly perfumed hops. Bitter flavour, light to medium body, crisp mf; initially malty, grainy with a perfumed/medicinal touch; dry and moderately hoppy finish with a harsh bitterness. Not perfectly balanced.

Bottle. OK citric aroma. Flavour of aroma hops. Clear golden colour, big-bubbled white head. Distinct bitterness, better than crap lager.

Bottle. Claer pale yellow color with a average fair lacing white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, caramel, moderate yeasty, flowers. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a short to average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft. Very nice pilsner.

Draught. Clear chestnut colour. OK malty flavour, a bit sugary. Quite drinkable, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Bottle. Hazy yellow colour. Thin flavour, no banana or citric notes. Quite boring.
