Draught: Weak malty aroma. Clear, very dark brown colour. Very small head. Malty flavour with OK creamy hoppiness. The aftertaste, however, is watery and disappointing. 5 3 5 3 12 Bottle: Sweet fruity aroma, a bit of raisin. Almost clear dark red/chestnut colour. Fruity flavour, a bit roasted. Coffee-like roasted aftertaste. A bit fruity for a lager, but interesting. 7 3 6 3 13

Best before bottle July 5th, 2006 consumed on 5/31/06.
VERY delicate, subtle aroma may be passed its prime, this beer is either about 5 months or 11 months old, I’m guessing the latter. Anyways, it’s still before its best before date. Regardless, the yeast is crisp, with hard sulfate in it, leading to a lightly metallic and dry note, that leads the way for the fresh hops. Grassy, dry, lightly bitter and firm, with an apparently very lean malt structure, probably highly attenuated.
A near perfect appearance shows a polished brass body, with countless tiny bubbles rising everywhere, to form a snow-white head that is well-retained and half a finger in height.
Flavor is certainly dry, grassy, and lightly mineralic. Seems like a Classic German pils to me. Lean, just hints of white dough, with that tangy, lightly spicy crisp lemon-grass with lime tints that pepper the sides of the palate and sink in to the light honey dough. Bitterness is moderate, while sourdough emerges as it warms making more tart/grainy/metallic than bitter. Clean and with a medium to medium-light body and medium carbonation. No alcohol noted in flavor or aroma. Prominent lacing in large, webby rings.

(On tap) Hazy golden with a small, white head. Weak aroma of wheat and yeast. Medium-bodied and very sweetish malty with a vague, fruity edge. Refreshing all right, but perhaps a bit on the sweet side. 210506

[Draught at Købehavnske Øldage] Clear amber. Some toffee and grass up front. Sweet and medium bodied. There’s some caramel, but not much that sticks out. It’s also on the sweet side. A bit of a let down after their winter bock.

An amber beer with a huge light brown head. The aroma is very yeasty, but also with notes of malt and brewmash. The flavor is sweet and very malty combined with strong notes of caramel, leading to a dry metallic end.

Draught. Malty, bonbony flavour. Medium bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, slightly above average carbonation. Clear copper colour, small white head. Not very clean flavour for a lager, but nice. Slightly watery aftertaste.
