Draught. Malty, bonbony flavour. Medium bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, slightly above average carbonation. Clear copper colour, small white head. Not very clean flavour for a lager, but nice. Slightly watery aftertaste.

Good fluffy, just off-white head over beer, colour of old gold. Nose as from fresh-kilned malts, slightly wet and very intense, bit grassy. Again this intense pale/fresh malt taste - even greenmalt here - for flavour. Actually, I could live on this; there’s a lot going on. Some dusty trails of near-oxydation, and some discreet yeast signs. Ends malt-sweet. Bit burning MF, gristslickness, light to medium bodied. Long, sweet aftertaste. Remarkable, unusual Pilsener. Not something I’d go search for, but pleasing nonetheless. Thanks, MartinE!

Draught Amber-foxy, no head. Fruity-citrus nose, and, I fear, some hints at diacetyl. Dry-hoppy rather, no trace of diacetyl in the taste, but a little sweetish backing. Maybe alcohol-induced. Dry, but here’s the snatch - it falls flat. There are some hops in the aftertaste, and hey presto, again diacetyl. Interesting beer, sorry about the diacetyl. Rest is OK.

(On tap) Beautiful, clear amber with a creamy, off-white head. Clean, malty nose. Solid body with a very solid malt profil, vague accents of caramel. A somewhat metallic edge. Distinct bitter hopped finish. Solid if unsophisticated Maibock - but aren’t they all. 160406

A light amber beer with an OK bubbly off-white head. The aroma is a mixture of sweet and sour notes, combined with brewmash. The flavor is fresh and clean with notes of malt, caramel, and hops, leading to a dry end with light metal notes. The mouthfeel is thin. I’d like more power from a Märzen.

2009-03-11, draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, 7-4-7-3-14=35
Dark amber color, creamy head, Both the aroma and flavor have good grainy caramel; the aroma shows also the classic Danish yeast, and the body is well structured and has enough sweetness. Solid.
2006-03-17, bottle, 3-3-6-3-10=25
Dark amber color; the head disappears quickly. Light aroma, rosewater. Medium body strength, dry in the beginning, and quite poor of flavors; only at the end some sweetness, the caramel (intrusive) and the nutty taste are interesting.
