Growler @ RBESG Grand Tasting 2009. Almost balck and opague. Just notes of smoke and roast in the aroma. Vinous flavor with oak and notes of smoke. Grapes and a hint of tartness next to the roast in the finish.

Bottle from Maria. Almost black and opague. Roastaroma with licorice and chocolate. Roastbitter flavor with licorice, coffee and dark chocolate. A herbal bitterness in the longish finish. Well made Baltic porter. Thanks, Maria!

Bottle from MiP. Brown color. Butter, buttermilk and caramel in the aroma. Diacetyl all over! Caramelly flavor with buttermilk. Soft caramelly bitter finish with hints of metal. Mistakes in the brewing process sail this beer away from a higher score.

Tasted @ EBF 2008. Vanilla and honey in the aroma. Vanilla, oak and raisin in the flavor. Malty sweetish, well balanced brew.

2005 bottle from Yespr. Deep dark brown color. Gusher. Strong vinous aroma with proto and raisinny notes. Calvados and licorice. Vinous flavor, sweet with muscat grapes, a grapefruity tartness and fairly alcoholic. Malty. Brandy notes.

330ml bottle kindly shared by lmojoh. Steady beige head to a misty amber coloured body. Spotty lacing. Brown malty nose, earthy, inviting. Balanced taste profile of caramel, nuts, earth and biscuit. 330ml bottle kindly shared by lmojoh. Thick fawn-coloured head. Rustic-brown body, clingy lacing. Earthy malts on the nose with a chocolate touch. Mixed malt-driven taste of dark caramel, chocolate, and dough. Smooth malty ending, not overly sweet. Fine bodied. Nice. (session with lmojoh, Finn and djoeye at Pivoteka H7, Tromsø 22.05.2019).
