Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. A slightly hazy beer with lots of sediments in the bottle. Golden in color, with a big, collapsing off-white head. Orange-peel, citrus, pinecones and some malty sweetness on the nose. The flavor is piney, resiny and citrusy with a fine bitterness, and some malty flavors preventing it from going out of balance. Medium to full body and a nice level of carbonation. Resiny, bitter finish. A quite tasteful IPA, maybe lacking a bit on the malty side. (090411)

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. A slightly unclear dark orange-golden beer with a small, off-white head. Belgo-sweetish nose with dried fruits and caramel. Not as complex as the best Belgians, but quite nice. Sweet on the palate too, with dried fruits, some herbal notes, fresh fruits and some star anise and orange peel. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. A quite nice beer, but still lacking a bit. 6.5 would maybe be a more correct score on aroma and flavor, but that’s not an option, and it’s not worthy a 7. Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. #008a. A dark, dark brown beer with a small beige to tan head. Quite weak aroma with roasted malts and a little chocolate. Sweetish, yet quite dry, medium to full body, with flavors of coffee and roasted malts. Roasted finish too. It’s a quite nice beer, but a bit boring, and lacking complexity. Wouldn’t shy away from drinking it again though. (090411)
