dark murky brown to black, nearly no head. nice well rounded imp. stout aroma, a little bit boozy, but otherwise nice enough. Flavor is a nice roasted malty imp stout with faint wheaty flowery notes as well as a good deep port flavor that rounds things off. i could use a little more wood, but as it is, it is still pretty good. palate is a bit thin and it does tend to fee a little bit watery, but the flavor is quite okay.

dark brown, smooth brown head. fine balanced roasted malty aroma with a soft feel to it, velvety. flavor is roasted malts, molasses, faint sweet note from whisky, hopping is delicate and not at all overwhelming, but still adds a bitter edge and makes it even better.

Bottle @ Home. Pours black with a creamy light brown head. Sadly looks is the best part of this beer. Aroma of roasted malt, rather sweet, caramel, light dusty, sourness, tart wood, some unpleasant barn notes, light dried fruit. Flavor is slightly better than aroma, sweet roasted malt, light bitter, caramel, wood, wet oak, boozy, light fruit notes, heavy alcohol. Medium body, soft carbonation, sweet and hot alcoholic finish. Didnt find any port. 260217

Sampled at Gunnfryds Barmy Army New Year’s ticker party 2017. Almost clear amber body with a dense tan head. Mild aroma of malt, caramel and dry fruit. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, dry fruit and medium bitterness. OK body and quite sweet in aftertaste. Decent but plain and straight forward malt/caramel based beer.

Bottle. Creamy White good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy and moderate yeasty aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Chili alas present but thank god not dominating. Average light bitter finish. Fruity esters just present but with chili? No way a good match. Oily palate.
