Der hopfige Antrunk wirkt aufgrund seiner kernigen Grundnoten, die an eine Mischung aus Bock und Märzen erinnern, ziemlich deutsch. Untypisch ist natürlich der starke Hopfen, der dunkel daherkommt und weder besonders blumig noch grasig wirkt. Im Mittelteil stört es, dass das Bier stark karbonisiert ist, erkennbar sind aber analoge Biternoten zum Hopfen, zunehmend setzt sich der kernige Grundton durch, das Bier wird so würziger, die Bitterkeit umschließt den aufkommenden Malzton. Der Hopfen verliert so etwas an Einfluss, bleibt aber bis zum Ende das stärkste Aroma. So ganz harmonieren die Hauptaromen leider nicht miteinander, dafür ist die der Grundton zu stark. Dennoch ein interessantes und gelungenes Bier. 9/11/9/10/7/11

Würziger, eindeutig vom Hopfen dominierter Antrunk. Der Hopfen ist sofort überaus aromatisch und breitet sich noch etwas weiter aus, die amerikanische Herkunft ist offensichtlich. Erst im Mittelteil ist das Bier etwas herb, dies wurde aber passend mild gehalten, damit der Hopfen nicht gestört wird. Das Bier wird hier würziger, was fast vollkommen auf den Hopfen zurückzuführen ist. Jedoch merkt man auch den Alkohol, der sich in einer wärmenden Untergrundnote bemerkbar macht. Der Hopfen steigt in die Nase und hat das Bier nun noch mehr im Griff, zum Ende schwindet der Hopfen unr langsam und sorgt für einen hopfig-süßen Abgang, eine Mischung aus klebrig und trocken. Ein außergewöhnlicher Bock auf dem deutschen Markt. Bravo! 8/11/12/12/12/12
