Bottle from HoTM. It pours clear very pale gold with a white head. The aroma is sweet, floral, grassy, slightly herbal, hay, straw, biscuit, lemon curd and custard creams. The taste is crisp, dry, some snappy bitterness, nice biscuit malt base, custard creams, straw, grass, peppery spice, white bread, herbal accents and dry florals with a drying finish.. average body and fine, prickly carbonation. Enjoyable stuff. Initially feels simple, but there are some nice subtleties to it. Quaffable.

Bottle from Beer Zoo, Dunbar. Appearance - golden with a juice fluffy white head. Nose - green herbs, light biscuit and citrus. Taste - green herbs, almost green peppercorns, lemon and bready. Palate - light bodied and with refreshing bitterness. Overall - lovely pilsner.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. It pours crystal clear yellow with a decent frothy white head. The aroma is fresh, clean, summer meadow, daisies, pale malt, white bread, touch of lemon curd and custard cream biscuits. The taste is crisp, clean, snappy, firm dryness, touch of grassy bitterness, soft pale malt, white bread, cracker, biscuit, floral vibes, dull lemon, splash of tonic water and cereal with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Crisp and clean. Quenching and refreshing. Really enjoyable stuff.

Pale gold body with white head. Light grain aroma. Light taste, malt forward with a crisp finish

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with slightly late awakening, average, thick, dense, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. BA supported, roasty, chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, sherry, marsala, cherry, hints of blue grapes, a touch of treacle, plum butter, woody overtones. Taste is slightly bitter, roasty dark malty, slightly dry woody, vinous fruity, notes of dark chocolate, hints of dry sherry, a touch of marsala, morello, blue grapes, plum butter. Creamy, almost viscous texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, surprisingly lively (bottle from 2015), fine, (mildly) prickly carbonation. Well matured, excellent BA support - not overdone but clearly present -, not the most complex Impy Stout but covering a good deal of flavours in harmonious mode - pretty inviting.

Klare goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hopfiger, malziger, leicht fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich leicht malzig, leicht getreidig, vordergründig hopfig, schwach fruchtig. Leicht süß mit leichter Bitterkeit, leichter bis mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.
