Description
Few concepts are as old as beer and fatherhood. This story starts in 2009 in small town Ontario, with four hockey dads and their four hockey sons. Artist, entrepreneur, corporate exec and maverick, they gathered around a shared love of the hand crafted and authentic, and a vision of producing high quality craft beers that could combine artistry and accessibility. Add a whole lot of time spent together in rinks and on soccer pitches, experimenting over stove tops, planting hops and touring microbreweries around the world, and slowly, things began to brew. That friendship, like our craft beers, is based on a simple formula: stand up 4 each other, stand up 4 something bigger than yourself and stand up 4 the antiquated notion that quality craft beer matters.

A hazed milky yellow ipa with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits, very nice. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with resinous hops, light mineral notes, light dank notes, pleasant. Can from Duke's.

Hazy yellow, large white head. Tropical aroma, soft cereals. Stone fruit, and soft citrus oil. Light, and bright mouth feel. Soft carb and a low to medium bitterness. Decent.

Dark copper, big beige head. Nice citrus nose, quite malty though for a light ipa. More body than expected, soft carb. Finish is is bright, and medium bitter again more than expected, and alot of cereals in the end. Not awful, but great pretty run of the mill.

This pumpkin lager poured a hazy orange colour with a creamy, off white head. Minimal lacing. Scents include allspice, cinnamon, minimal cooked veggies and honey. First swig was quite strong in the pumpkin dept. Flavours of allspice and cinnamon most prominent. Finish is lightly bitter with a sweet mouthfeel lingering.

This butter tart beer poured a nice deep orange colour with a creamy, off white head. Nice lacing. Scents include big time butter tarts, caramel, biscuit, pastry and vanilla. First swig was different… very butter tart flavoured right down to the vanilla and pastry. A little hop flavour in the background but sweet on the palate. Maybe a little nutty… pecans? Finish is thick and sweet with a mild bitterness lingering with the sweet butter tart flavour. Different.

This sour poured a clear yellow colour with a minimal, fizzy, white head. Minimal lacing. Scents include mango, pineapple, lime… pretty much all the fruit juices. First swig was not the most sour, our ve had and that was good. Too sour equals usually acidic. Flavours of mango, pineapple and lime. Don’t get the mint at all. Finish is like fermented fruit juice.
