Description

* Old rating, 0,5l crown-top-bottle, best before 08.05.06.

Bottle: Poured a clear dark brown color bock with a nice light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of banana bread is pretty intense with some caramelized malt notes also perceptible. Taste is also dominated by caramelized malt with some huge banana bread ester with a medium level of residual sugars. Body is light with good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Nice beer which is way too easy to drink of the ABV with nice level of complexity.

Bottle. A clear one, golden in color and with a small, dense, white head. Some diacetyl notes on the nose, with sweet, canned peaches and a hint of pine cones. It’s full to medium bodied, with a soft carbonation, semi-dry on the palate. Pale malts, quite a lot of fruityness and a decent bitterness in the slightly sweet flavor. Lasting grassy, piney and lightly bitter finish with a tad too much sweetness. Overall, nice, but on the sweet side. 140816
