Keg at Lake Drum - Geneva, NY. Pours deep brown with minimal beige head. Rich roasty malt nose, some scorched earth notes, cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with mellow iodine, cherries, chocolate and raisins. Medium to full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Finishes warm and sticky with lots of burnt sugars, charcoal and dark fruits. So so.

Location: Sampled at TapNY, 4/26/14
Aroma: The nose is heavy bourbon, with some toffee malts, vanilla, and caramel
Appearance: The pour is brown, with a red hue, a beige-brown head and average lace
Flavor: The flavor is much the same, heavy on the bourbon with some strong malt flavors as well
Palate: The body is medium, with a decent amount of ABV burn, but somehow remains drinkable
Overall Impression: They called this Jack Daniel's Aged at the festival. I actually quite enjoyed this one. There's a ton of bourbon on the nose, taste, and feel, but it is surprisingly drinkable considering how strong the bourbon is.

22oz bottle, as "Naturally Soured Firehouse Pale Ale" - poured a hazy amber color with a small wispy white head. Aroma was some light citrus notes, a touch of some woody notes and a very light funky tart note. Flavor was pretty tasty. Putting it in context is important. They sell this as a "beginner" sour beer. It’s not super tart, no pucker. Would drink again..

Growler, few times, but most recently brought by a co-worker. Thanks! Poured a very clear light yellow golden color with a small fizzy head. Aroma was some crisp malts, some light sweetness, an almost biscuit note. Flavor was crisp malts, sweet, biscuit. Very refreshing.

Poured from a growler, a very dark brown, thin body, small white head. I don’t capture any alcohol burn in this one from either the aroma or flavor. Notes of light sweet berries, some barley wine and a touch of roasted character. Some light funk sweet notes - probably from either the berry or from the strange BBA Flight Level 410. Interesting.

Bottle. Poured a dark, amber color with some small wispy tan head. Aroma is sweet, vanilla, bourbon, some tart notes? Bourbon, tart soured, wood. Wish I could like this more. Some alcohol, but rounded out. Probably soured a bit.

Co-worker provided us a growler of this one. Poured an amber color with a medium-sized white head. Aroma was nice pumpkin notes, with pretty balanced spice notes to it as well. Cinnamon, nutmeg with plenty of sweet caramel malts. This one was pretty good.

Draft@J. Ryan’s, standard pint shows classic hazy gold without head. Nose is wonderful yeast priorities. Flavor is.traditional for the style, bananas, clove, notes of bubblegum. Mouthfeel is medium with a chewy yeast. Really well made made with a true German years strain.

22oz bottle. Poured a mostly dark black color, maybe at best a really dark brown color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light roasted malts, some toasted notes. Flavor was sweet chocolate notes, light coffee-like flavors. Light, maybe a bit too thin for this ABV.
