6/XII/13 - 33cl bottle from De Zytholoog (Maldegem) @ home - bottled: II/2011 (2013-1124)

Clear pale yellow beer, big fizzy white head, dissipates quickly, little adhesive. aroma: raisins, fruit cocktail, bit grassy, floral, elder flowers, hay, citrus, little sour. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: overripe fruits, citrus, banana, bit sugary, nasty sourness, stomach acid. Aftertaste: sour, lemony, little bitter, honey, overripe fruits, bad sourness.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear dark red color, small light brown head. Smell lightly malts, sweet-sour. Don’t get any burned malts at all. Taste however has lightly burned malts, a bit sweetish. Quite thin bodied, average carbonation. Meh.

Bottle @ benzai. Copper colour with a small beige head. Smells farty, malty, sweet. Tastes slightly roasty, hint of chocolate, sweet. Decent. Medium body, soft carbo.

Bottled@HBF. Amber with floating yeast, small white head. Yeasty and fruity nose. Overriped fruits, some alcohol, grapes in the flavor. Kind of calvados feeling.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of Lukaduke. Thanks Luke! Pours a bit hazy, golden orange appearance with a lasting, cream colored head. Floral, a bit dull hoppy, pineapple, tropical fruity, bready nose. Slightly tangy, mango, pineapple, herbal, slightly bitter hoppy flavor. Probably past its prime but still pretty decent.

Troche to dziwne piwo bardzo winne i ciut octowe. Quadrupel i to mocny bo az 12% alc.Nawet takie stezenie jest zadkie dla Belgii. Nie mniej brakuje ti piany, piwo zachowuje sie jak wino po nalaniu, kolor ciemnomiodowy niczym porto lub scherry. W smaku jakby ciut z rodzynkowej malagii. Brzydka etykieta.

Bottle @ home. Clear dark orange color, medium sized a bit fizzy off-white head. Aroma has malts, a light sourness, apple, herbs or spices. Taste lightly malts, some herbs, a herbal bitterness, lightly spiced. Medium body, medium carbonation.

(Bottle, 0.75 l, at Gastropub Tuulensuu, 20131030) The beer poured reddish brown and clear. Its head was small and white. Arom had berries, malts and yeast. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were berries, sourness, malts and low bitterness. Aftertaste had sour berries and bitterness. A decent oud bruin.

Light haze on this deep amber beer. Small pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and slightly soft and semi dry. Tangy, almost sour, coca cola and generic fruits. Mild lactose. Semi dry finish. Hides the abv well.

Bottle @ Brewski’s. Pours dark brow color with tan head. Aromas of dark fruits, caramel and yeast. Similar flavors. Medium body with average carbonation.
