Draught @ The Rover. Pours clear deep amber with a rather small creamy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet and hoppy fresh with caramel, orange peal, grass, pine, sweet dark bread, lemon zest, resinous wood and very subtle hints of vanilla and brown sugar. Taste is sweet and bitter with caramel, plums, orange peal, freshly cut grass, dark grapes, resinous wood, straw, toffee and pine. Mouthfeel is round, oily bitter and light to medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with resinous wood, pine, orange peal, fresh grass and hints of caramel and toffee. Usually not a big fan of amber ale but this is very nice.

On tap at Sour & Bitter. Hazy amber beer, small cream coloured head. Light crisp palate, semi dry. Fairly malt led - crisp toffee malt. Late piney hops with well buried orange citrus. Minerally crisp finish with reasonable bitter linger. A grower.

Can. Lightly hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and a little soft with mild and very fine carbonation. Nicely balanced hops - mild skunk and then a little bitterness. Lovely light tropical fruits. Mild hop spice before bitterness comes back. Airy smooth finish. Bitterness and hop spice linger on. Very nice.
