22 oz. bottle purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions. Kittery ME. Deep brown / black appearance, thin weak head. Flavor and aroma match. Chalky chocolate, mild coffee, dark fruit, earth. Finish has a coca note, earth. Mild traces of wood. Mild alcohol. For the style it is about average even with tha barrel.

Draft at EE 4 April, 2018. Awesome blood red in color, thin lasting. Aroma is red beets and mild earthy hints. The red beet is very forward and the flavor. Ends on a mild vegetable (but not in a bad way). Slightly herbal.

22 oz. bottle. The aroma is coffee bean, roasted malt, sugar. The flavor has a decent malt backbone with some good roast. Coffee is respectable and lingers slightly after the sip. The texture is mildly creamy over the tongue. Pretty nice for a porter!

16 oz. can from Spruce Creek Provisions. Appearance is a slightly hazy crisp gold. Foamy head with some lace. Aroma shows citrus, floral and light grain. The grain bill is light and the hops give a slight juicy texture. Just a light trace of unfermented sugar toward the finish. Otherwise, a pretty reasonable IPA.

Pours mahogany tinged black into an English pint. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Chocolate and marshmallow aromas. Soft with chocolate and espresso upfront turning to vanilla in the medium length finish.

Reviewed from notes.
Thanks Andy for bringing back.
My portion was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a black color with a nice looking tan colored finger’s worth of head slowly dissipating and leaving some light rings of lace about the sides of the glass.
The aroma seemed to carry a nice blend of piney and citrusy hops to a nice bold blend of robust roasty coffee bitter grounds to some smoke then ash and then roasted cocoa beans.
The flavor nicely blended the previously mentioned aromas together to bounce on into the aftertaste and roll right on into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionable to sipping quality about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt fine as where the brewer intended it.
Overall, good black IPA willing to come back to if I could get it again.

Poured into a weizen glass, the appearance was a fairly dark brown color with barely any head which ended up barely leaving any lace, interesting, but I shall proceed.
The aroma had a moderate German yeasty/semi-earthy malts. Some light clove. Mild chocolate.
The flavor mildly blends between the sweet yeastiness to the malt backbone. Clove sits in the background. Malty aftertaste. Wet chocolatey finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Low carbonation. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, decent dunkelweizen or American Dark wheat ale as it seems to be missing some banana esters, the clove doesn’t seem to punch enough and the lack of wheat bite is also missing. Maybe again, but not true to the style.

650 ml bottle purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions. Again, this Brewer doesn’t date code the bottles. Yeast and hop particles floating around a golden liquid. Aroma and flavor reflects each other.

Flavor of candied oranges, lemon peel, weak resin, mild hints of grass. Bitterness is moderate with just a touch of honey grains. Very light note of alcohol but not distracting. Overall, a tad rough around the edges but I enjoyed the flavor.

650 ml bottle. Purchased at 7 Eleven, Kittery. Let me just say I think the style itself is lame. So my score reflects the lameness in style itself. Hazy deep amber with medium head. Aroma is herbal, caramel, yeast.

Taste is caramel malt, herbal hops, weak bitterness that helps balance. A lighter body, very lean body. Shows medium carbonation, and some weak tingle over the palate.
