Can pour from Beer and Wine Nation. It's an opaque black with light viscosity, ring of beige head with good retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong peanut and raspberry. Taste is moderately strong sweet and roasted peanut with milder raspberry. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, moderate strength of the peanut butter with better jelly balance in aroma than taste (I'm more of a 1:1 ratio guy), but good.

12oz pour at York Beach is a clear gold with some sticky white head. Big citrus and soap nose, lemon and grapefruit, some malt, hand soap, pine. Flavor is old school, bitter and sticky, some malt and honey, big grass and huge soap. Massively bitter finish.

16 oz. can. Lightly pink hazy color. Aroma and flavor are a mirror. Exactly what it is supposed to be. Mild tart raspberries with a mild lactic acid. Sour wheat, softer puckering in the taste buds.

4 ounce draft. Pitch black color. Aroma is soft peanut butter, light roast, barley. The flavor is about what I expected since I’ve had others in the series. Good peanut butter note. The body is just a touch lean for a stout. Still good.

4 oz. draft at York River Landing. Aroma is nice fruit. Flavor has more sweetness than I expected. Floral, weak fruit. Strong malt backbone. Pretty malty.

On tap pour into taster cup at Craft Brew Race Portland. Appearance is nice golden yellow, no discernible sparkle, decent foamy pillow of white head. Aroma is strong citrus, tropical fruit. Taste is herb dominant but not musky, buoyed by fruit that isn't allowed to shine through, mild grapefruit. Not much citrus. Palate is medium bodied with smooth texture, average carbonation and finish as taste with hint of bitterness. Overall, some nice features but taste doesn't live up to aroma. Still pretty good.

On tap pour into taster cup at Craft Brew Race Portland. Appearance is opaque black/dark brown, large foamy, light brown head (but tap misbehaving). Aroma is mild roasted malt, little vanilla, hint of cocoa. Taste is burnt chocolate (like burnt whoopie pie) at outset, standard chocolate/vanilla whoopie pie second half. Palate is medium bodied with smooth texture, thick, soft carbonation and balanced roasted bittersweet finish. Overall, tastes like whoopie pie so it does what it sets out to. A little burnt at the outset.
