Description
six°north was established in 2013. The concept was born in Belgium when founder Robert Lindsay fell in love with the country’s beer culture and tradition. He soon returned to north east Scotland to start brewing his own beers, six°north of Brussels. We make modern, artisanal beers that are driven by Belgian brewing tradition and inspired by modern brewing practices.

Our beers are unfiltered and carbonated naturally through secondary fermentation. We brew classic Belgian inspired beers, as well as modern, hop-forward styles. We also release a number of collaboration beers each year with other breweries.

Keg at Marine Hotel, Stonehaven. It pours hazy straw yellow with a small white head. The nose is wheat, zesty orange, spice, green grape and sweet melon. The taste is rather smooth....dough, wheat, light spice, zesty orange, grapefruit, lemon and some clean tartness with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Rather delicious! Not normally my sort of thing, but this was tasty and well balanced. Great stuff.

Cask at Marine Hotel, Stonehaven. it pours straw lightly hazy straw yellow with a small white head. The nose is dough, herbal notes, straw, pithy citrus and a touch of sweetness. The taste is straw, pithy lemon, touch of grapefruit, light soap, decent bitterness, leaf and dull floral notes with a dry, lightly bitter finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. Light, easy doing and pretty refreshing. I can’t help think I would have enjoyed this dispensed a touch colder.
