Keg at bow bar. Light spicy, thin.

Aroma: White pepper, Belgian yeast and a floral quality.
Appearance: Clear pale golden body with a very thin white head. Flat carbonation. Great lacing.
Taste: Spicy, lightly roasted malt with lemon and boiled vegetable notes.
Palate: Thin body with a very oily mouthfeel. Flat carbonation.
Overall: A lovely Saison. I really like that this brewery is Belgian influenced. The first three Six Degrees North beers I’ve tried are a bit on the thin side but are really nice.

Keg at Marine Hotel, Stonehaven. It pours pale golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is straw, grainy, light tangerine, pithy orange and peach. The taste is pithy citrus (particularly orange), dough, straw, light bitterness, slight metallic notes (due to carbonation), grain and green grape with a dry finish. Medium body and high, prickly carbonation. Decent keg pale ale. If they ramp it up with some extra citrusy new world hops it could be great.

Keg at Marine Hotel, Stonehaven. It pours hazy straw yellow with a small white head. The nose is wheat, zesty orange, spice, green grape and sweet melon. The taste is rather smooth....dough, wheat, light spice, zesty orange, grapefruit, lemon and some clean tartness with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Rather delicious! Not normally my sort of thing, but this was tasty and well balanced. Great stuff.

Cask at Marine Hotel, Stonehaven. it pours straw lightly hazy straw yellow with a small white head. The nose is dough, herbal notes, straw, pithy citrus and a touch of sweetness. The taste is straw, pithy lemon, touch of grapefruit, light soap, decent bitterness, leaf and dull floral notes with a dry, lightly bitter finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. Light, easy doing and pretty refreshing. I can’t help think I would have enjoyed this dispensed a touch colder.
