Keg at Hanging Bat. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head. Light carbonation. Great lacing. Aroma of chalk, lemon and yeast. Flavour of lemon, wheat and grapefruit. Medium body with a watery, slightly oily mouthfeel. Lively carbonation. A tasty, refreshing beer. I’m not sure if it’s an IPA but it’s certainly better than their 4.8% ABV Wanderlust Wheat (is this just a stronger version of it?)

The taste is dough, toast, spice, lime rind, satsuma, sherbet, light bitterness and straw with a dry finish. Light-medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Quite a delicate beer. Soft and quaffable.

From the keg menu at Hanging Bat, one-third pint, beer flight choice. Unclear pale golden body. Low, but stable head lacing the upper level of the glass. Sweet spiced fruity nose. Lemony hops to the taste buds alongside notes of wheat and ripe fruits, lightly spiced. Lemony bittersweet tail. Approved (Edinburgh 10.08.2013).
