Poured from 500mL bottle (2024 vintage; bottle 77 of 300). Near black with small beige head. Dark molasses forward with light roast and soft bourbon barrels rounding things out. The focus here is definitely black strap molasses. Not especially complex, but decently made.

Dark brown, vanilla, and chocolatey. It's kind of Oreo vibes, like with the palm oil and everything. On the palate, similarly chocolatey, same cookie things. Decent.

16 oz. can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of intensely sweet sticky toffee, caramel, treacle, etc. Flavour is full of intense sticky toffee, huge caramel, treacle toffee, and brown sugar. Way too much sticky toffee and sugars, and lacking malt depth. It’s okay, but much too sweet and sticky.

473mL can. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Mostly cocoa powder with sweet caramel sugars on the nose. Flavour has dusty cocoa powder and loads of sugary caramel.

Taster at VooDoo. Pours a murky, purple color, with no head. The nose is cherry juice, strawberry limeade, and light caramel. Sweet and juicy, with a heavy, pleasant sour flavor. Medium body, very acidic, and clean. Quality and fruity.

Can to glass. Looks like brown bloody mary....so confusing! Taste & aroma has a punch of all the berries, raspberry is the most defined. Really intresting beer. A little sour mid-palate. Pretty light carbonation and a bit creamy....remarkably like a smoothie.
