Small bottle from a night club on Bangla Road in Phuket. Had this one straight from the bottle, but I can guess what it looks like. Corny aroma, sweet taste. Basic Asian lager, nothing amazing.

0,32 l bottle. Appearance: clear yellow, white foam. Malt aroma, slightly flavored with German hops. Taste light body, watery, malt, something fruity, soft drink for summer.

330ml bottle into glass. Strange wine-like aroma. Golden sparkling beer with sudsy white head. High carbonation. Spritzy mouthfeel followed by weird sweetness. Finish is all alcohol burn. It’s like a bland lager with brandy added.

Can. Orange with a white head that doesn’t last. Very fizzy. Aroma of sugar, some hay, vague herbs. Medium body, not as carbonated as it looks. Really sweet, overtly sugary, some hay, vague citrus and herbs, low bitterness. Some stewed fruit. Sweet all the way through. More nothing I want yipe than off yipe, but ugh.

Bottle brought back to UK from Cebu by Matt. I’ve had this in Philippines some years ago, and recall enjoying it then, and wasn’t disappointed this time around. Pours a dark purple/black with a small tan colour head. Sweet toffee malt aroma, with dark fruits. Quite heavily sweet, light bitterness, medium body, oily texture. Long bittersweet finish. Decent enough brew.

On past visits to Philippines this was my favourite. Maybe it was the heat, the country, sharing drinks with the locals, alternating with Tanduay rum, the price.... But all that was some years ago and this rating is based upon a bottle brought to UK from Manila by a friend...Poured a golden colour with an average sized white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and alcohol. Taste is medium bitterness with a light sweetness, medium body and thin texture. Average carbonation. Bitter aftertaste. Slightly metallic. Not great really, the memory was better.

33cl Bottle from some toko at Kinkerstraat. Clear pale golden colour, white head. Aroma is faint, relatively sweet, hint of citrus, typical strong pale lager aroma, fruity. Flavour is light sweet, light malty, floral rice sweetness, some strong pale lager notes, light bitter finish. Light-bodied, watery, doesn’t feel like 6.9%. Not as bad as feared.

Half liter can smuggled back from Dubai by Joe M, thanks for the opportunity! Pale golden color with a smallish quickly dissipating bone white tightly bubbled head. Light bready pilsner malt, faint floral hop, hints of light fruitiness. The taste is big sweet bread with a bit of fruitiness and little to no hop flavor. Middle of the road macro style pilsner/lager.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with an off white head. Aroma of typical rice based lager, a little grainy and sweet malt like but really not much going on. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
