HK version, bottle from my student. fruity citrus, grass, corn, candy nose. Clear, deep gold, nice fine head. Bready, corny, ok hops, some citrus, almost no bitterness. Oh, no, there is some, all right, actually. Crisp body. Not terrible by any means, just lacking distinction. All right for an industrial lager.

Ein unspektakuläres, einfaches Lagerbier, das in Richtung Strandbiere geht, die in der Gegend ja recht beliebt sind. Kann man trinken- muss man aber nicht getrunken haben.

woda. lekko gorzkawa i gazowana woda. w smaku zupełnie nie przypomina piwa (za wygląda dość dobrze, lekko ciemne złoto i poprawna piana), zniechęcający zapach jajek na twardo.

Goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig süß, alkoholisch. Geschmack sehr malzig süß, getreidig, alkoholisch.

Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head, disappears quickly. Sweet aroma, grain, grassy hops. Flavour light sweet and bitter. Light body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, sweetbitter finish.

Poured from a can into a glass while in Thailand. Aroma has a light, sweet graininess with faint grassy hop character. Light sulfur note and no diacetyl. Pours a pale yellow with a thin white head that quickly recedes to the Shea where it lingers. Light lacing and no legs. Flavor has a light, sweet graininess with faint grassy and floral hops. Light sulfur note and low bitterness. A slight twang in the finish, which I think is from the hops. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall an alright light beer. In some ways it is better than regular San Miguel as the flavor isn't so watery, but there is more sulfur in the light version and the hops are fainter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a bottle into a glass while in Thailand. Aroma has a medium light graininess. Medium light hop character that is slightly woody as well as floral and grassy. Pours a clear, pale golden yellow with a moderately thick white head that shows average retention. Light lacing and no legs. Flavor has a light sweetness, but finishes crisp and dry. Light malt flavor with light hop notes. Light bitterness. Hops are woody with some floral and grassy notes. Flavor has a surprisingly strong water character to it. No sulfur or diacetyl. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall a surprisingly weak alternative to Thai beers, this is very clean but is less flavorful than the Thai lagers. Also, there is something in this beer that is causing me to have an allergic reaction, I believe it is a type of hops but I am not sure which type. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0,33L can. Pours and smells like typical macro pale lager. Taste is rather sweet, but somewhat artificial. It is over carbonated. Overall: rather disgusting beer. This one is rather bad even by macro lager standards.

She pours a dark brown colored body with a slim finger’s worth of white foamy head that dies immediately. Some light lacing coats the sides of the glass but ends up sliding at a good pace.
The smell has a gentle soothing molasses/dark fruits invading my nose in a very dark sweet sort of way, comes through slightly smoky and roasty, some brown sugar ends up entering in more so as it warms.
The taste is mainly sweet through the previously mentioned flavors, slight sweet sugary aftertaste but nothing too invading as its slightly partial; no finish.
The palate sits about a medium of sorts on the body with a slightly moderate amount of carbonation coating the mouth and tongue in a decent way.
Overall, this is a decent Euro dark lager and I will commend San Miguel for taking a style that isn’t widely accepted and making a decent stab at it. For me, I think I could have this again even though I don’t know how fresh this is.
