Can. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lcing white head. Vague cornish and caramelish aroma. Flavour is dry and bitter with a distinct cornish cereal base flavour. Ends dry and bitter.

Bottle. Pour is a dark brown with about two fingers of tan head. Liquid is thin. Aromas are of roasted grain and a little bit of grain dust. Stll, flavor comes through as a strong and interesting mix of dark malt with heavy nut and wood flavors.

Pour is a dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma is a very slight caramel malt. Flavor is about the same very slight malts with an overall watery feel. Nothing really great but i do find it drinkable on this warm evening.

Pours a pale straw yellow with a small, short lived, fizzy white head. Plenty of bubbles. Aroma of hay, adjuncts, a touch of skunk (clear bottle) and a bit of DMS. Taste is about the same. Bubbly and rough going down.

Bottle labeled as Cerveza Negra. The best SM product out there. Malty, sweet aroma with the faintest of toasty notes, as well. Medium body. Flavor needs to be stronger, but it’s not bad. Light toasted notes, malts, light caramel. Finishes malty. Unfortunately it was pretty hard to find in the Philippines, which made no sense to me as I would drink this over the rest of their lineup any day.

I may be rating this a bit high. Pretty terrible stuff. A bit more flavor than the SM Light, but also noticeable alcohol fumes. If you’re looking for an Ice beer in a clear bottle, reach for Bud Ice instead of this.

Quite tasteless. Not much in the way of malt or hops, though I did pick up on a real light fruit flavor that I think could have been apricot. I’ll bet I imagined that, though, as I was trying to find a redeeming factor for the brew. Not SM’s best, thats for certain.
