Welcome to the official page of the Lindemans family which has been brewing lambic since 1822. The family has owned a farm since the dawn of time. It was to occupy (and refresh) the peasants in winter that we began our brewing activity. With time and success, our agricultural activities decreased as our brewery developed.
As Darwin said, functions create organs. Today, we are once again expanding our brewery to share the love of our beers beyond our borders.

A small bottle purchased from Beautiful Beers, for which many thanks, drunk at Dad’s place while home on holiday. Aroma: very powerful on opening the bottle, it doesn’t smell exactly like raspberries, more like cheap raspberry-flavoured cake or chocolate, but it’s definitely not unpleasant. Appearance: semi-opaque Ribena; flat. Palate: light-bodied and tart, unexpectedly lively carbonation; the finish is dry and tangy. Taste: Heavily sweet, the raspberry flavour is definitely there, a hit of sherbet. I think the lambic character might be overpowered by the sweetness, good work though at 2.5% ABV.

750mL bottle at the International Geuze & Kriek festival. Pours murky brown with a beige head. Roasted wheat, cognac, gentle must on the nose. Flavour has light must, roasted wheat, and poor quality cognac barrels. A bit clumsily thrown together and the quality of the cognac shines through.

750mL bottle, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma has some roasty notes, some leather, and a touch of cognac. Flavour has bright, low-quality cognac, toasted malt, and leathery funk. That’s some crappy cognac character. Not a disaster but the cognac ruins the funk a lot.
