750ml from The Gull LRS shared with George @ home. Appearance: hazy golden with no head. Aroma: nice funk, farmhouse, barrel. Taste: along the same lines, super carbonated, quite a few of residual sugars left, lots of fruity notes. Overall: good one.

Poured from nitro tap. Dark brown with creamy beige head. Roast malt with slight toastiness, lactose, mild leather note, a touch of sweet chocolate. Flavours are subtle, but expressive and creates a journey on the tongue.

On tap at House of Funk, pours a hazy dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is quite earthy, with Belgian yeast, light spices, earthiness, but little barrel presence. Flavour is more barrel-forward, with plenty of bourbon, lots of spices—especially cinnamon, followed by orange peel, Belgian yeast, and earthiness. It's rather bitter for the style. Pleasant array of flavours but could use some work on the cohesiveness. Solid.

On tap at House of Funk, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde, no head. Aroma is full of sage, salty brine, and tart lemon. Flavour is very salty upfront, with a big sodium cook upfront, lemon brine, sage further back, and gentle acidity. Finished very salty and briny. Rough. Not so great.

On tap at House of Funk, pours a cloudy, dull golden, no head. Nose is earthy, with manure, some lemon tang - not all that pleasant. Flavour is lemony, salty and earthy with nothing all that pleasant about it. Inoffensive but also pointless. Not like the better European kvasses out there.

On tap at House of Funk, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is full of dank hops and copious lacto. Flavour is pretty much the same, with dank, pot-like hops jumping out, and then the yogurty base smothers the palate. I'm not usually a fan of sour IPAs, but this is brewed decently. Still not a big fan, but it's respectable.

On nitro tap at House of Funk, pours black with a small creamy tan head. Aroma brings out dry cocoa, some wild yeast, and earthy, toasted malt. Flavour is unusual, with an interesting mix of lactose, toasted malt, and funky notes. Weird but it works well. I'm convinced.

On tap at House of Funk, pours a clear blonde, no head. Nose brings out some nice critters here, with plenty of wild yeast, and gentle tartness. Flavour is light-moderate tart, with lots of critters, some funk, soft wheat, and a little citrus. Love that they brewed this traditionally, without lacto or adjuncts. Really well-made.
