Medium brown, not much head. Light but kind of sour smelling. Boring choc, light body, not good malt dev but then low bitterness too. All told, meh. Ok but precisely the sort of timid underwhelming attempt at strong beer that you get all the time in BC. Yawn.

Hazy blond colour. Mildly bready and spicy, there seem to be indeed some oak.
Clean but boring beer.

Draught at the brewery
Light amber colour, barely hazy, with creamy head. Mild caramelly malt, off-dry, ok bitterness, not much hop quality.
Ok IPA, boring, and misleading because it's the opposite of a NE IPA.

Draught at the brewery
Dark mahogany color, near black, with generous beige head. Some aroma of burnt sugar, nice. Smooth mouthfeel, just some dark caramel and bread flavour, but very shallow, with a touch of liquorice; light residual sweetness, low bitterness, weak body (compared to expectations). Lager-clean.
A decent dark lager, but hardly a proper Baltic Porter, and without depth anyway.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out pungent piney and resinous hops upfront, with a soft caramel biscuity malt backbone. Flavour is very citrusy, with lots of bright oranges, grapefruit, and citrus, plenty of piney hops, and a crisp biscuity malt base. Bright, citrusy and piney. A nice IIPA of the non-hazy variant—very welcomes. Very good.
