Mild malt base, light citrus, some alcohol. Not bad, but certainly aiming for mellow.

650mL bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out black forest cake, gentle bourbon, and cocoa. Flavour is full of tart cherry, cocoa, boozy bourbon, and oak. A bit messy and too tart, almost like this got slightly infected and then they rebranded this. It's okay.

Dark brown, some vanilla. Fruity, light acidity makes it less rich, but there is some decent malt. I guess that's the cherry. I don't mind a fruitier take on impy, but the barrel aging on it feels slightly incongruous.

On tap at The Lift, Vancouver. Cloudy pale orange with a thick Rocky white head that leaves tight lace. Nose is light tropical fruit and some orange peel. Light sweet malt with a light+ citrus bitterness. Quite muddled. Medium mouth with average carbonation. Meh. 6/4/5/3-/12

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy copper with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Mild aroma of caramel malt, orange and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of caramel malt, mango, grapefruit and piney hops in a crisp, dry, bitter finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Well balanced. Not bad.

473mL can, pours a clear copper with a large white head. Nose has tons of sweaty, BO-like hops, a hint of resins and orange marmalade. Flavour is sweaty and sweet, with lots of earthy, sweaty hops, orange marmalade, resinous hops, and sweet caramel malt. Sweet and yet astringently bitter, with a not great hop expression, and poor balance. Very clumsy and not very competent. I like that they attempted a WC DIPA, but this needs a lot of work.
