Sympathique.

Again, brewed and canned around Australia. Cloudy pale orange with a fluffy white head. 3+ Aroma of passionfruit, pineapple, some lemon pudding, crackers. Light bodied, a very slight chalkiness. Tropical fruit sharpened both by citrus and a dryish bitter finish. Refreshing.

Can. Very murky light brown with a white head. Aroma of berries, grass, lime leaf. Ugh, can taste the lactose and it gives it a bit of a spider vibe. Moderate bitterness. A little leafy at the end too. Not my sort of thing at all.

Can, brewed at some unspecified Australian location. Very hazy brownish orange with a fluffy white head that lasts well. Very subdued aroma with pineapple, grass, some peach. Much more vibrant taste with tropical fruit and some peach and not much behind it - it's even a bit watery. Slightly astringent with lowish bitterness. Not so good.

(Can) Pours clear golden with decent but transient loose white head. Very subtle aroma, maybe hints of lemon and biscuit. Light bodied and somewhat fizzy. Taste starts with a pleasant balance of light caramel sweetness and citrus tang. There’s some reasonable bitterness, although a bit metallic, throughout the palate. Also some hints of pear drops in the mid palate. Easy drinking.

Can. Another one brewed at various locations under licence in Australia. Amber with a large white head. Aroma is perfumey verging upon cloying with coconut, lychees, a little pine. Sweet with coconut and biscuit, the pine and moderate bitterness are about enough to pull it back - but it's still too sweet and a bit vague for me.

They’ve upped the petrolhead schtick and made the can pretty garish and youff, so it follows that it’s extruded under licence “at various locations around Australia”. This can is 6.7%ABV. Clear pale orangish amber with an inch of white head. Aroma of mango, feijoa, grilled grapefruit, pine, breadcrust. Medium bodied. Sweet with lots of fruit that’s a little tropical compote for me until resinous bitterness takes over. Perhaps 10c is not cold enough.

Big bottle from Thirsty liquor on Waiheke at our Vrbo. Clear copper pour with fine white head. Aroma is pine resin hops, more west coast style, biscuit malt. Taste follows - pine resin bitterness with strong malt to support, some sweetness and biscuit bite. Quite solid.

Tall bottle from Waiheke Wines on the walk home from Oneroa, then poured into glasses. Not that hazy in look or flavor - dull yellow/light orange pour with fine white head. Almost translucent. Aroma is apricot with some citrus juiciness. Taste is apricot too, with juicy orange and some zest. A bit of brassiness. Very light palate with too little carbonation for me. Not bad but wouldn’t get again.
