Pours with excellent foam and a smooth dark brown body, heavy ginger and vanilla on the nose. Flavour is bright coffee and chocolate, smooth and the ginger on the nose is missing somehow. Mouthfeel is full and smooth. This is decent, a nice dark beer.

Soft mango on the nose and nothing else, not sure where the hibiscus went. Has good foam on a foggy orange-ish body. Flavour is weak mango, vague malt, some peach it seems. Mouthfeel is way too watery. There's some good ideas here but none of it is intense enough.

473 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with full tannish head. Aromas of roasted malts and lactose. Flavors of watery dry roasted malts with bitter cola. OK. Clean old style stout

Golden, a touch dull but not bad. Not much head. Smells like light crystal malt, a bit estery. Balanced, earthy hop. Solid old school west coast IPA.

Dark amber, with a medium head. Chewy and phenolic nose...temp control not optimal. On the palate those phenols mess things up because it’s otherwise got some decent chewy malts.

Cloudy, yellow. No head. Decent weedy hop, touch of sulphur, on the palate it’s rich with bitterness, weed...not entirely devoid of off flavours but solid stuff.

Dark brown. Not much head. Some chocolate and fudge on the nose. Soft body, touch smokey, touch of toffee, moderate bitterness. Nice stout. The best beer of my afternoon in Sooke.
